年の瀬の花屋 The flower shop of New Year's Eve

いよいよ、今年も今日を含め三日。

大掃除も大分終わり、家に飾る花屋や飾りを買いに、

花屋さんへ。

ずっとヨーロッパにいたせいか、お正月のアレンジのイメージが

今一歩つかめず。

しめ縄アレンジ？？　といっても、何がよいかわからず。

今年は、クリスマスでレッスンも終了。

来年以降のお勉強もかねて、花屋へ。

Only a few days left this year.

End of cleaning is nearly done.

I went to the flower shop for some New Year flowers and New year wreath.

After twenty years' stay in Europe,

I have no idea for New Year's arrangement and wreath.

So I need some tips for next year's lesson.

昨日買ったマム二種とカランコエを、

姉宅からやってきた蝋梅などのえだものと一緒に

投げ入れ。

Beautiful Chrysanthemums are arranged with other flowers and green.

菊って、ある種のイメージがあり、なかなか手が出ないのですが、

近頃は素敵な色合いのもどんどん出ております。

そして、菊特有の香りが、新年を迎えるのに、

なぜかふさわしい気がします。

Chrysanthemum has an old fashion taste and hard to arrange with.

But nowadays new species are bred and they are so lovely.

Also I feel this specific fragrance is suitable for New Year.

いつもとは違い、新年らしいアレンジがたくさん。

勉強になる＾＾

The flower shop is full of New Year's arrangements.

千両の赤い実が、お正月らしさに色を添えます。

Red berries (Senryou) add new year taste.

話題の”サザエさん”ラナンキュラス☆

New kind of ranunculus ,wow

コロっとしたフォルムが、店主こだわりのチョイスのシンピジューム。

バラもどんどん進化を続けます。

生産者の美を求める道は、限りなく。

New roses come out from time to time , looks gorgeous.

Growers' efforts are endless,,,

ちりめんキャベツのような、葉牡丹。

New cabbage flowers with wrinkle ,,

入り口は、落ちた赤い実と金柑がお迎え。

新しい年を、綺麗な花で迎えたいなら、

花屋へGO!!

　さあ、大掃除も大詰めです。

黒豆も、いい感じに仕上がりました。

Dropped red berries also good decoration for flower shop entrance.

If you need fresh flowers for new year, just go to flower shop near by.

つながる命

慌ただしい年の瀬ですが、午前中にちょっと遅ればせながら

”永遠の０”を見てきました。

いろんな意見はあると思うけれど、やはり生きているということ、

命への畏敬の念は、強く感じました。

戦争という時代に生きた人々、決して昔ではない、

我々の親世代が味わった悲しみ、くやしさ。

その後を受け継いだ者として、

やはり、しっかりと生きて行かねば、、と思った次第。

日頃は、雑多の事にぐじぐじと悩む日々ですが、

生きていれば、なんとかなる、、と。

　病を乗り越え、又我々に感動の歌を届けてくれる桑田君。

その歌声とエンデイングが重なり、又泣きそうです。

帰り道、運転しながらふと見上げると、六甲山が雪化粧。

荒れた天気となりましたが、もうすぐ家族揃って迎えるお正月、、。

そんな日常に改めて感謝しつつ、

皆様、良いお年をお迎えくださいませ。

あっという間に日が経ち、、days fly away

先週ロンドンから娘が一時帰国。

その日から休業していた母親業、テンポラリー復活です。

　イギリスでは、家庭医というシステムのため、

なかなかちょっとしたことでは専門医には行き着けません。

ということで、滞在する二週間のあいだに、気になっている目やら

皮膚やら歯やら、、、すべての医者を訪問。

そして、ヘアカットやら、、。

連日ぎっしりです。

娘の誕生日もあり、実家の両親のお泊まり＆ランチ。

そして、もろもろ日本でのお買い物。

PCをほとんどあけることなく、一週間以上すぎました。

　普段は主人と二人のゆったりペースですが、

一気に五人が集い、布団やらご飯やら、、連日ばたばたです。

　昨日は、実家の両親と京都の姉も来て、お誕生日ランチをオークラで。

I couldn't write down my blog for a while since my daughter visited us a week ago.

We were so busy with many odd things.

Also her birthday was last week, so we planned to invite my parents and sister for a lunch.

My house accommodated more people than usual, so just busy,,

No time to check PC for a while.

昨年は、ほぼ同じ日に、ここで両親の傘寿のお祝い。

あれから一年、あっという間でした。

Yesterday we went to Hotel Okura for birthday lunch for my daughter.

We had a 80 years old  celebration lunch for our parents  there exactly the same day last year.

Days have passed away so quickly.

寒かったのですが、お天気は良く、海がばっちり見えました。

　両親を見送ったあと、娘と姉と三人で、旧居留地へ。

しばらく行かない間に、店が増えておりました。

It was a cold day but very clear, so view was gorgeous.

After lunch I and my sister and daughter went to shopping at old town.

There were more shops than I visited last time.

かわいい手彫りの木の動物のオブジェがたくさん。

娘は、一緒にデザインを学ぶ友達に、お土産買ってました。

一つ一つ、丁寧にプレゼントラッピングもしてくれて、

さすが日本ね。

My daughter found good souvenirs at this shop, they sell many wood curving

animals.

They wrapped them as a present with free charge , just nice Japanese way.

輸入ヴィンテージもののお店で、姉がかわいくてあったかい

シェットランドセーターをお買いあげ。

My sister got a nice vintage Shetland sweater there.

よくいくベーカリー＆カフェも満杯でした。

This bakery and cafe was full of people.

It is just the busiest season of the year.

こちらは、とっても魅力的な子供服や雑貨のお店。

lovely child clothes and toys,,

あちこちに、ヴィンテージ感満載のインテリアが素敵な

お店があります。

Many shops with vintage taste,,, nice!

こちらは、ちょっと値が張るのですが、

秀逸の革製品が並びます。

シンプルでかわいいリース♪

こちらは、普通の会社のビルなのですが、

レトロな雰囲気いっぱいです。

This old building also looks good.

姉は、この日大当たりで、コート＆セーター＆ワンピース、、

お買い上げ。

すごい荷物なので、たまたま明日京都に仕事で行く主人に

荷物を頼む事に。

My sister made a big shopping yesterday.

So my husband bring them to her tomorrow,

he will go to Kyoto tomorrow for business , it is nice coincidence.

私は、いつも行く素敵な店長さんがいるセレクトショップにて、

暖かい質感のアルゼンチンコットンのタオルと、

アルパカウールのセーターをゲット。

顔が明るく見えるセーターをさがしていたのですが、

色も質感もばっちり。

　久々にカメラも撮った日でした。

I bought a nice quality Argentine cotton towel and lovely color sweater.

年末＆年始は、我が家にて宴会三回。

そして、一年半ぶりに家族が揃う予定です。

バタバタしそうですが、にぎやかな年の瀬に感謝です。

さあ、明日こそ年賀状を書こう（汗）。

We will have three parties at my house before and after New Year !!

It will be a lovely busy new year eve and new year.

今年最後のリースレッスン♪ Last wreath lesson 2013

今日は五人の方が来られ、リースレッスン。

今年最後のレッスンです。

　昨日は、一日空いたので、映画”利休にたずねよ”を

観てきました。

近頃マイブームの”和の美”。

琳派と共に、やはり茶の湯文化を勉強せねば、

理解できないことが多すぎ。

　ということで、しっかり原作を読み、予習。

映画館は意外にガラガラでしたが、映画は良かったです。

お道具や絵、それに舞台も本物を使った物が多く、

美しい。

奇跡の親子競演も見れたし、素晴らしかった。

永遠のゼロがまもなく公開で、ちょっと目立たなくなった？かもですが、

是非見て欲しい。

　さて、今日のレッスン風景から。

毎度おなじみな写真ですが、私にとっては、ひとつひとつ違い、

教えながらも、皆様に教えられること多々。

Today was last wreath lesson this year.

Also last flower lesson 2013!

 Yesterday there was no lesson.

So I and my husband went to cinema to watch "Ask Sen-no-Rikyuu".

Rikyu was a man who established a tea ceremony.

At the moment I am very much interested in Japanese art.

For understanding the beauty of Japanese art I need to know about tea ceremony,

that inspire many different Japanese art area.

I have already read the book before going to cinema.

The movie was very good and beautiful.

But the cinema was rather empty , that made me a bit sad.

  Anyway today's lesson was going well.

The photos below look nearly same as last blog.

But for me all different ,,, all lovely.

明日から残った薩摩スギで、しばらくクリスマスアレンジを作る日々が

続きます。

　来てくださった皆様に心から感謝、来る年もよろしく☆です。


Still I have a lot of foliage and stuff remained.

So maybe tomorrow I am going to make some arrangement and wreath,,,

今日もリースレッスン♪ wreath lesson day3

昨日に引き続き、今日もリースレッスン。

前回まで来てくれていた友人は、今はインド。

とっても寂しくなりました。

が、今日は新しい方が二人加わり、

しかもお二人とも、三人のお子様の御母様。

とっても明るく、初めてとは思えない溶け込みぶり。

最初のおしゃべりがはずむと、時間がかかりすぎる昨日の反省のもと、

早目に作業に入りました。

Today wreath lesson again!!

One of my friends left Japan to live in India with family.

We miss her very much.

 But new members joined us today.

Both are mother of three kids, wow!!

They are also lovely girls , we enjoyed a chat for a while.

 Yesterday it took more than three hours,

so today we started a bit earlier.

サツマスギに、ブルーアイスという針葉樹、それにユーカリポポラスベリー、

それに紅葉ヒペリカムもオプションで。

二時半ころ、完成。

　やはり、結構時間かかります。

Three different kinds of foliage and red leaves hypericum were added occasionally.

All done at half past two.

Again it took longer than I expected.

手前のY様のは、立派なサイズのダイニングテーブルに合わせて、

直径５０CMくらいのビッグサイズのテーブルリースに。

インテリアがロココなので、リースはあえて森風に。

後の方は、影掛け式に。

いつも出来上がると、実際に壁にかけて、確認。

かけてみると、引力＆重力の関係で、

落下するものあり、微妙なアングルのずれあり。

なので、いつも壁にかけて、最終チェック。

　皆様、落下物もなく、綺麗に出来ました。

The biggest one is by Y-sama.

She made a table wreath.

Her dining table is enormous, so she made hers bigger than others.

Because her room is full of colorful staff, she made it woody and greenery.

Other people made a door wreath.

I always make sure everything fits well.

All staffs are stable on the wreath or not,  carefully checked.

Every wreath  looked good.

それぞれのテーストで、無事完成。

ちょっと遅めのランチ。

　いつもように、お料理教室の先生＆二人の受験生母のY様、

魔法のように、朝早くにランチもご準備の上、我が家まで小一時間かけて、

来てくださいます。

本当に、感謝です。

　皆様、それぞれの場所で、お料理の盛りつけ＆紅茶の用意。

もう慣れたものです。

お皿もカトラリーも、ささっと準備してくれます＾＾。

Every wreath has different taste, looks lovely.

Then lunch time !!

 Y-sama has brought all lunch from her home.

She is a teacher for cooking and baking , also mother of two kids

who are ready for entrance exam soon.

She and her friends drive more than one hour to my home.

Everyone helped preparing for lunch and tea.

ワンプレートの中に、チキンの煮込み、サラダ、煮野菜、クルトン、温泉たまご、

盛りだくさんで栄養満天。

湯むきのトマトの甘さも絶妙です。

One plate with full of yummy food, and very heathy ,too.

おしゃべり第二部始まり。

新しいキャラのお二人もくわわり、にぎやかです。

　ごちそうさま＆来年もよろしく☆です。

We enjoyed a chat , it was a lovely afternoon.

リースレッスン Christmas wreath lesson 2013

この冬二回目のリースレッスン。

先日マーケットに仕入れに行くと、もう主流は松。

クリスマスはすっかり過去？？

日本は、先を急ぎ過ぎ（怒）。

薩摩スギも仕入れるたびに、長さも大きさも違う。

今回は、結構ビッグ。

又、今年も仕入れ過ぎ、、かも。

今日は、カマキリの巣も発見。

カメムシも出てくる（汗）。

一応レッスン前に、ひと枝ずつ洗います。

ベランダは今のところ、サンタランドのようです。

　さて、今日は大学時代の友人たちに、最近お向かいに引っ越してこられた方も

参加。

とっても楽しくレッスン出来ました。

手を動かしながらも、話が弾みます。


Today two friends and one new neighbor came to Christmas wreath lesson.

When I went to flower market this time , the atmosphere was already for New Year,,

In Japan Christmas is too short.

On 26th December people are ready for New Year decoration.

  Anyway before lesson I wash all the branches.

Sometimes insects there, today I found a  mantis nest,,,

oh my god!!

Lesson went very well today.

They enjoyed all the process and chat.

It took about three hours,,,wow.

何をトッピングするか、悩ましいところ。

Final moment,,they wonder which  toppings are good  on the wreath ??

針葉樹の香りが、癒し。

Green foliage smell good.

私は、リースを作りすぎて食傷気味。

小さいオアシスが大量に余っているので、

キャンドルアレンジを遊びでつくりました。

I made a small candle arrangement.

I was just fed up with making a wreath.

皆様、ご自分のテーストで仕上げ。

なんと、終わってみたら三時（汗）。

おつかれさま。
