I am proud of you !! とっても嬉しい報告♪

もうすぐロンドンの大学を卒業する娘から、とってもうれしい報告が。

卒業制作＆ショーが無事終わり、成績も受け取り,

結果は、"first" だっと！”という超興奮したLINEのメッセージ。

I got a very much lovely message from my daughter.

She has done her final project recently

and finished under graduate show successfully.

Also she got grade,

that was "first",  oh my god,,,,

It was so goooood.

　日本の大学の成績とはちょっと違うので、

よくはわからないのですが、

とにかく最高の結果だったと。

そしてまた、デザイン誌のウエッブ版に、

ショーの作品が取り上げられた、、とかで、

またまた歓喜の報告。

Compared with Japanese grading system it might be different,,

anyway "very good".

Again this morning she called me with very much exciting voice.

Her project was on the creative view web ,,,wow!!

　四年前に、二人で行ったChelsea collageのオープンデイで、

ここで学べたらいいね♪っと言っていたあこがれの大学。

そこでデザインを学んできました。

特に最終学年は、本当に様々な苦難があって、

とっても大変そうだったけど、

努力は裏切らない、、と確信しました。

I still remember the day  I and my daughter attended open day at Chelsea college

about four years ago.

We loved this college, but we both thought it was too hard,

but dream has come true, she could pass the exam,

and learned design there.

Throughout final year she suffered from many difficulties,,,

but finally she coped.

I believe now again "efforts never be wasted".

　生後九ヶ月から、イギリス、ドイツと過ごし、

小五＆六以外は、ずっと海外。

その間に、様々な人たちとふれあい、

いろんなものを目にしたおかげで、

今のあなたがいるんだなあと

１３年前の、ドイツのハンブルグ時代のプロジェクトを見ながら、

懐かしんでおります。

Since she was nine months old ,she spent her time in UK and Germany

except two years in Japan.

She has grown up with kids from all over the world.

That experiences inspired her taste, that is wonderful.

 I just saw her family history project at International school Hamburg

more than 13 years ago.

That reminded me a lot…

この頃は、Megと姉妹のように遊び、

ずっと何か書いたり、作ったり。

お隣のFrugling家の三兄弟とは、毎日暗くなるまで、

遊んでましたね。

In Hamburg she and Meg always played together ,they loved drawing.

Her mom Leslie also looked after Saori very much.

We had a lovely time together.

Next door there was very friendly German family "Frugling".

My daughter played with three boys since the first day we moved to Gernmany.

今でもとっても仲が良い兄と妹。

まあ、一度も”お兄ちゃん”と呼ぶ事はなく、

もっぱらYuhei!!ですが。

My son and daughter are always good brother and sister,

My daughter never called my son "my brother" (that is normal in Japan)

but she calls him "Yuhei".

日本からイギリスに渡って、間もなくの頃。

現地の方々には、本当にかわいがって頂きました。

That photo was taken soon after we moved to UK.

People were so kind , we are still nice friends.

That is lovely !!

来月の卒業式には、夫婦で参加します。

今から、とっても楽しみ。

　娘をずっと支えてくれた地球のあちこちの皆様にも感謝。

そして、彼女の頑張りにも感動。

I and my husband will attend graduation ceremony next month.

We are looking forward it very much.

We appreciate the friends and family all over the world who helped and supported my daughter.
